The pandemic has forced some businesses to close their doors, but others are opening for the first time.
The Wall Street Journal reports people are starting new businesses at a faster rate during the pandemic compared to past years.
“This is a result of a seismic shift in the economy. One thing changes in a detrimental fashion, yet it creates opportunities in other areas,” sticky.io CEO Brian Bogosian told PYMNTS.com.
The pandemic has changed consumer buying habits and many entrepreneurs see these changes as opportunities. Bogosian also noted some government actions around regulations and taxes also created a favorable climate to start a business.
“The entire opportunity is quite significant,” he added.
